Proposed amendment of section 4 of the Foreigners act of 1864, so as to make deportees who gain re-entry into India liable to rigorous imprisonment. Use of this Act, by the Government of Bombay, against subjects of Indian States and residents of trans-frontier territory. Suggestion to the Government of Bombay that legislation be undertaken in the provincial Council, with a view to obtaining powers to deal effectively with all classes of bad characters in the City of Bombay.
