Report of a hunger strike among the State prisoners in the Midnapur Jail and transfer of the prisoners concerned to various other jails in Bengal, under section 5 of the State Prisoners act of 1858. Transfer of fifty State prisoners from Bengal and of twelve convicts from the Punjab to the special jail at Hazaribagh and sanction to the purchase of arms and ammunition for the warders of that jail.
