Protest by the Superintendent, Port Blair, on the ground of overcrowding, against the despatch to Port Blair of 26 seditious convicts from the Punjab. Ability of Burma to accommodate 12 such convicts in their jails. Decision that orders of the Government of India be obtained before any more seditious prisoners from the Punjab are despatched either to Port Blair or to Burma.
