Draft of a letter to the President and Council of Bombay, intimating that the Southampton has been despatched to them for repairs with a cargo of rice, saltpetre and powder, requesting a particular statement of the money advanced and the stores delivered by them for the use of the Snow Indus, directing them to order the Paymaster of the Bengal detachment to send in his accounts without delay and to forward them as soon as received, enclosing certain bills of exchange drawn in their favour for the military expenditure of the Bengal detachment, also a copy of a letter with enclosures from the Agent for supplies, respecting the deficiency in a cargo of supplies landed at Bombay , and requesting them to acknowledge the receipt of the bills of exchange
