In reply to his letter, No.13, dated 15th February last, reporting the cirumstances under which a piece of land granted to Dr. and Mrs. Mason was erroneously made over to the Karen Plapan; sanctions the remission of an advance of Rupees 4, 000 made to them to be lent to the Karen settler, but observes, that such advances should not be made without previous sanction of the Government of India
