With reference to paragraph 3 of Despatch No. 99 ( Statistics and Commerce ) , dated 6th July 1882, transmits copy of a letter from the Chief Commissioner of the Central Provinces, furnishing some explanation of the causes of the difference in the rate of mortality from fevers and bowel complaint in the Bilaspur and Sambalpur districts.
