Subsidized Hostels for the Children of Railway Employees. Certain clarifications issued to Railways in connection with admissions etc. into- i) Railway Administrations advised that arrangements may be made to give due publicity to staff of subsidized hostels; ii) Clarification issued that word 'area' in para 1 of Board's letter No. E(W)53ED1-3/Pt. A dated 19-8-58 should be taken to mean places or jurisdiction where educational facilities of the requisite type are available. iii) Other clarifications with regard to the eligibility for admissions into subsidiced hostels issued. Administrations advised that individual cases for admission which are not covered by the clarifications given may be dealt with within their discretion consistent with the objectives of the scheme, but that the hostels should, in no case, be thrown open to other than children of Railway employees
