Minutes of discussion at the meeting of the CMO's of all Railways in Board's Office on 23rd and 24th April, 56 Agenda item 4 working of child Welfare Centers on Rlys 1. Clarification that both Maternity and Child Welfare Centers on Railways should be taken over by Railway Revenue The Northern Railway should discontinue the practice of levying charges for confinements at the centers. The distribution of milk to children at the centers will be part of the treatment as is already being made on some Railways. 2. Matter pursued with the Railways. 3. Decision that the staff of these centers should be treated as Railway servants w.e.f. 1.4.55 Terms and conditions on which they should be so treated laid down
