View of the Government of Madhya Pradesh on the S.R. Bill, mainly:- (1) It is desirable that the Apptt: of the Joint Secy: of the Zonal Council should be made by the Chairman of the Council in consultation with the Chief Ministers of Constituent States. (2) The number of seats fixed for the Legislative Assembly of the new State of Maharashtra be increased from 240 to 320. (3) The principal seat and other seats of the High Court should be fixed by the Governor in consultation with the Chief Justice. (4) The Central Government should bear all pensionary liability in regard to the services of officers in V. Pradesh and Bhopal who retire or proceed on leave propitiatory to retirement before the appointed day retire after serving in the new M. Pradesh for some time after the appointed day
