Special allowances and other privileges were granted to the Mechanical Directorate staff of the R.D.S.O. upon their relocation to Simla.-- When the R.D.S.O. staff moved to Simla, they were granted the following accommodations: i) An advance of two months pay in addition to the customary T.A. advance, which may be repaid in 24 installments. ii) Free pass/travel allowance claims for journeys completed by the family of a railway servant may be accepted for a maximum of 12 months following the date of transfer. iii) Retention of government accommodations at CRJ/New Delhi upon payment of standard rent for a period of six months from the transfer date, or until the Reserved Servant is able to secure housing in Simla whoever comes first
