A reference from the Eastern Railway addressing local nurse recruiting. The Board resolved to authorise the General Managers of all Indian Railways to recruit required Medical Staff in class III categories without the assistance of commissions for a term of three years. It was later emphasised that direct recruitment of medical personnel can be done through a local selection board without even involving a member of the RSC. Also, adverts for recruiting should not be published in newspapers if they are considered unnecessary
