Free train passes are given to applicants that the railway calls for an interview or exam. Railway Administrations and Service Commissions. Decision: Only in the following situations may free passes be given to applicants who have been called for an examination or interview by the Railway Service Commissions and Railway Administrations. (A) In the following situations, passes will be provided whether or not the recruitment is to be done on a regional or all-India basis:- (i) Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes; (ii) Handicapped Former Military Personnel; (This is only for use in Railway Administration.) (iii) To applicants in the technical and medical categories in the event that those with diplomas or degrees are being recruited
