Running personnel receives reimbursement for attending Hindi examinations rather than distance. Conclusion: In compliance with the Boards letter No. E(S)159/28 dated 12-10-59 and rule VIII of the amended running allowance rules, running personnel participating in Hindi examinations should get allowance in lieu of mileage. Under specific parameters listed below: (1) If a member of the running staff receives at least 25% of the total marks awarded in a Hindi test, he is entitled to reimbursement in lieu of travel for the first appearance. (2) If a running staff member has previously received reimbursement for mileage in lieu of allowance for an exam that they failed, they will be qualified to receive reimbursement
