Pay allowances for the calendar month of September 65, in lieu of the Durga Puja holiday, are paid to non-gazetted employees of the administrative and connected offices as well as workshop staff prior to the wage period. Railway Electrificatio, CLW, DLW, and the Eastern, S.E., and Southern Railways have all been granted sanction. The Northern Railway proposal to compensate workshop employees whose regular salary did not coincide with the agreed-upon holidays was not accepted. Orders were issued based on Ministry of Finance directives, requiring all gazetted staff officers to have their September salaries paid on the last working day of September 1965, with the first four days of October 1965 being closed holidays
