O.T.Rlymens Union: The G.M., O.T. Rlymens Union inquired as to whether Mr. Bhattacharya, the acting accounts officer for O.T. Railway, could remain a member of the union and represent it on the seven-member council that the All-India Rlymens Federation appointed to negotiate with the Railway Board over issues related to the Pay Commission scales. The G.M., O.T. Rly. requested that Mr. Bhattacharya be advised not to run for office or represent any organisations to which it might be connected. Considering the identical restrictions in the Trade Unions Bill, 1950, further investigation into the non-participation of a recognised Union of non-gazetted railway employees was not followed
