1. Pensions-Medical authority for the purpose of commutation of Provision made in para 1222 (read with para 609) of the manual of Railway Pension Rules. Instructions issued (1) by M and H Directorate regarding constitution of Medical Boards for various purposes including commutation and (2) vide Board's letter No. F(P) 60PN-1-7 dated 3-5-1960. 2. Question regarding the authorities competent to exercise the powers granted by the Railway Pensions (Commutation) Rules. Decision that the said powers shall be exercised by the authorities competent to sanction pensionary benefits. Rule 2901-RII amended accordingly.
