The Ministry of Home Affairs has proposed to remove the age concession that Departmental workers were formerly eligible to use when competing in the Class I and Class II Combined Competitive Services. The Ministry of Home Affairs has decided to revoke the concession. Plan for a restricted competitive exam for the recruitment of IAS/IFS and Central Class I Services, exclusive to active public servants. The scheme was considered on 2.11.62 in an interministerial meeting and on 6.3.63 with the State Chief Secretaries. The Ministry of Railways was represented by an Additional Member (Staff)
