A question was raised by the general manager of Northeast Frontier Railway regarding the possibility of stopping increments in the event of SCAs or those who were unable to be released for training at RSC, Baroda for administrative reasons. 1. It has been confirmed that the G.M.'s assumption that no departmental examination is required at the conclusion of the first year in order to draw an increment elevating the SCAs pay to Rs. 480/-in the case of SCAs recruited prior to the 1960 examination is correct. 2. If the SCAs passed the additional exam for the purpose, they may be eligible to receive salary increases, bringing their total compensation to Rs. 510/-for those who were administratively prevented from being released for training
