N.F. Railway: The process for determining salaries for the purpose of paying compensation for casual labour under the Workmen's Compensation Act. Conclusion: the entire wages earned by the daily-rated casual labour in the last continuous period of Service immediately prior to the accident, including wages for paid holidays, paid weekly off, and paid leave, if any, should be divided by the number of days comprising such period and not by the number of days actually worked in order to calculate average wages under Section 5 (C) of the W.C. Act, 1963
