Payment of compensation under W.C. Act in respect of late Shri Ram Krishan Sharma, Sr. Cashier, Northern Railway, Ferozepur who got a jerk in the moving rain and Fell down on the floor of the compartment and died while on duty. Decision that it would be reasonable to draw an inference that but for the jerk he received and consequent fall on floor, he might not have died on account of acute heart failure. It would not be necessary for the applicant to produce evidence that the deceased was a heart patient some time back and that the duties performed by him accelerated his death by hearth failure. In the circumstances, the Railway was asked to pay compensation in this case
