Decision that the General Clauses Act, 1897 no longer operates to keep alive the provisions of Schedule containing a prohiobition against the carriage of coal as cargo on emigrant steamers ceased to be in force on the coming into operation of the Indian Emigration Act, 1922(VII of 1922).
