Owing to want of loading rifle carbines in the , The Govt. of India authorised the Darbar to obtain direct the 150 carbines required for the Mysore police the orders of 1869 which allowed the duty free importation of arms required for the Mysore Govt. were withdrawn since Mysore was now under native rule.
