Decision that such officers should be reimbursed the fare actually paid by them for the return passage (if required to travel by another queue), less any refund obtained from the Issuing Company for the unused half of the return ticket, in cases where the India Office has been unable to always allot accommodation to Government officers on leave in England by the queue by which they held return tickets. adds that this ruling applies to paid passages on government vessels as well as passages on private steamers.
