With reference to this office letter No. 1171 dated 1st April 1870, regarding the construction of pillars to mark the boundary between Nepal and Bhutan, states that the Nepal Durbar wish to depute an officer to be present when the cairns of stones be postponed until the Terai is again open. Asks for information as to exact the cairns, and for timely notice on the subject.
