The Govr. Genl. of Indina in council adverting to the position of the naval commander in chief who is presetn in calcutta at his lordship requsition in consequnce of the pojected expieition to China on H.M. service considers it proper to authroised a suitatble special allownce to that high officer as compensation for the extra expenses.
