With reference to his despatch, no. 1202, of 13th December 1853, reporting the arrangements recommended by the officer Commanding the sirhind Division for the disposition of the Cavalry Force in his Division intimates that lod Melville, deeming the Squadwn of the 4th Irregular Cavalry sufficient for the duties to Loodianah, has withdrawn the Troop of the 7th L.C. lately on duty there.
