In reply to mily Department letter no 783 of the 23th Instant states that the officer commanding the Dinapore division was instructed on the 9th may last to institute strict inquiry into the petition of the soorrandee mother of the late sepoy Ramnarain sing of the 56th Native Infantry and his attention was again called to the subject on the 13th Instt.
