From Junior Assistant Secretary - In reply to letter dated 5th June No. 905 observes that the papers therewith forwarded are not of the nature contemplated in Mr. Muios letter dated 3rd May last No. 1176vizt. Document treating of the possibility of raising a portion of the Imperial Revenue by an assissment on the Town & Merchantill Classes independent of the assumption that the amount of the impost is to be applied solely to purposes of local improvement should there he any records on this subject requests that they be sent - Returns certain of the documents transmitted the others will follow.
