With reference to No.903, dated 10th August 1865, submits copy of letters from several gentlemen named within , on the subject of the Hindoo practice of taking sick people to the river side to die; and suggests that notice of such an act should be given to the nearest Police, and that omission to give notice should be a punishable offence.
