Read a Deapatch from the Honble Court of Director No 2 of 1858 dated 6th Ultimo in the Legislative Despartment relative to Act No IX of 1856 for granting exclusive privileges to Inventors - State taht they have not been informed whether any measures have been taken for renewed Legislation on the subject and desire that the draft of an Act he laid before the Legislative Council and when approved transmitted to them. that steps may be taken for obtaining the sanction of the Crown Additional that a clause must be inserted to provide that any thing done under the reported Act shall have the same force as if previoiesly to the passing there of it had received the sanction of the Crown.
