From Superintendent Geological Survey - With reference to this office Endorst No. 3366 & 3705 dated 13th Ultimo & 16th Instant, is of opinion that the Coal produced in the Lynal Valley, Scinde to be almost useless for seagoing Steamers but which could be used for local purposes & that it is worthy of testing the value of the Coad Field also that the examination could be effectically carried out and satisfactonily accoplishied by parties personally # in the results then by any one appointed by the Government the terms on which a lease might be granted should be fixed afterwards. Thinks that the papers exhibit facts fully fustifying on expenditure to be amount contemplated.
