To Secretary - In continuation of Letter from this Department dated 27th February 1852 informs that it has been determined that Burmese shall be reckoned a sone of the languages to entitle an officer who has passed in one or More of the Indian Languages to the honarary reward of Rs. 1000 sanctioned by the Court of Direction. States what the qualifications of a Candidate for the standard of higher profiriouncy in the Burmese language should be.
