Monsieur Gustave Kooh - Agent for the Society for Immigration to the Isle of reunion States that his object in coming to the country is to engage Indian Laborers for the Isle of Reunion explains the objects of the Society of which he is the representative & remarks that by existing Decrees & Ordinances laborers in that Island will find the same protection as is secured to them elsewhere by Act XV of 1842 and that if necessary the Ordinances will be modified by the French Government on the recommendation of the Society solicits early orders on the subject of his mission.
