To Officiating Secretary to Lieut. Governor - In reply. ( consultation No. 13 & 14 dated 7th June 1837). Stating that the Furlough Rules cannot be extended to the case of a Cessation Official of employment with residence in India, but suggesting that pending a reference to England Mr. Mackenzie should obtain leave to reside at Simla as a Civil Servant out of employ which will leave his Services at the disposal of Government if they should be required.
