From Secretary to Government of Bengal-Judicial Department-- Forwards the following:- From Officiating Secretary to the Law Examination Committee- Sanscrit Department-- States that 11 Candidates for situations of Law Officer were examined by the Committee on the 24th January and none was found eligible for a Diploma, and observe that the appointment of a Grammar Pundit in the removal of the late Professer of Law has proved unfaverable to the Sanscrit College.
