From Board - Referring to the orders of Government of 6th December last. Submit original Tenders received for building a New Pilot Vessel - The lowest is from Messers. Ambrouse & Company to build the Vessel of Teak at Moulmein for 35,000 Rupees to this they think there is an objection. Recommend the acceptance of the Howrah Dock Companys Tender to build a Vessel Copper fastened and entirely of Teak for 42,000 Rs.- Observe that as the Flora on her return from the Survey under Captain Ross must be sold or repaired it becomes a question whether it would not be advisable to build two Vessels on the proposed terms - Advert to the cost of the Asseerghur, Mermaid & Sea House in 1819 and 1825.
