From Post Master General - Objects to the practice of Pursers bringing to Town in the Dak Boat private Parcels and delivering them in Calcutting free of all charges. Proposes that a printed letter containing a Scale of Postage chargeable on all parcels be delivered by the Pilots to the Commanders of all Ships entering the Port. Has requested the Officiating Master Attendant to delay the promulgation of the orders of Government of 14th Instant on the subject.
