Abel having been nominated to accompany the Governor General to the Upper provinces Government has been pleased to appoint Mr. B. Lushington to act as Superintendent General of Plantations of and the Revenued Dr. Carry to Officiate as Secretary to the Plantation Committee during the absence of Dr. Wallich from the Presidency.
