Minutes of the Governor General Recording his opinon that compensation agreed to be allowed to the Importers of opinion at Java exceeds any loss which could have been secetained by the Regulations for the Trade - In the arrangements for the remainder of the season propses the Farmers being allowed to purchase from the Importers without to the intervention of Government resereing the prtecting duty of 500 Dollars Per Chest on landing which is to be drawn back on exportation and when sold to the Farmer.
