Lt. Hamilton, who was inadvertently appointed to be District Superintendent of the Berar Police, of the 1st Class, on a salary of Rs. 700 P. M., when there was no vacany in that Class, allowed to draw that salary with retrospective effect from Sept. 1864, till the occurrence of a vacancy in the 700 grade.
