Continuance of the existing rate of duty of 8 annas a maund on salt manufactured in the Hanthawaddy, Bassein, Myaungmya, Tavoy, and Mergui Districts of Lower Burma and the extension of the system of direct taxation on salt to the Amherst District subject to the submission of a report in September 1906. Assessment to land revenue of land used for the manufacture of salt in Burma.
