Sterling Accounts Rules- Interpretation of Rule 11(1) of the ------ Under rule 11(1) as it stands, it is not necessary for a Govt. servant who desires to be paid in rupees in India, to satisfy Govt. of his intention to reside after retirement in a rupee using country. If, however he requires payment in sterling he must satisfy Govt. of his intention to reside in a country where rupee is not legal tender.
