Consul General of Portugal informed that the import of Salt from Portuguese India into the Port of Coondapore or Anyother Port on the west coast of Madras north of Cochin is only permitted in vessels of the capacity of 300 tons and upward but there are no restrictions regarding the capacity of salt laden vessels arriving from Portuguese India into the Port of Gopalpur.
