With reference to letter, No. 32, dated 27th ultimo, solicits that the power of pardoning criminals may be delegated to the Chief Commissioner, and requests that the Civil Procedure Code be extended throughout Burmah with the exception as regards juries, which may be employ in the seaport towns only. Requests further, that Act XV. of 1862 be applied to Burmah, and forwards Roll of Officers who may be vested with the powers described in Sec. 1 of that Act.
