With reference to despatch No. 66, dated 14th April 1864, intimates having permitted the Thakoor of Bucktgurh to adopt an heir to his estate, on the understanding that, if he begets an heir of his own body, he will pay his adopted son Rupees 400 a year for his maintenance.
