Ten years` service of Military Officers in civil employ referred to in Home Department Circular Nos. 668-78, dated 8th September 1896, to be counted from the date of their first appointment in civil employ, whether permanent or temporary, and whether in the Commission or any other Department, provided that the service in the Civil Department is continuous.
