Proposal to amend section 8 of the Code of Civil Procedure so as to empower the High Courts of Calcutta, Madras and Bombay to extend to the Presidency Small Cause Courts any section or sections of the code which they think fit. Proposal to amend section 41 of the Presidency Small Cause Courts Act, 1882 (XV of 1882) so as to raise the pecuniary limit of the jurisdiction of the Courts from Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 2,000.
