Forwards a copy of the correspondence noted, and requests the sanction of the Government of India to the establishment of a Sub-division in Cachar, and to the appointment of a Covenanted Assistant or 1st Class Extra Assistant Commissioner to the charge of it, who should be added to the number of Assistant Commissioners sanction for the Non-regulation Provinces under that Government.
