In reply to No.3720, dated 16th August last, states that the existing accommodation in the Jails at Patna, Moorshedabad, Bhaugulpore, and Decca, having been reported unfit for the reception of European prisoners under trial ; steps have been taken for the construction of suitable cells for the purpose, and instructions have been issued from the Public Works Department, Bengal, with a view to their completion as soon as possible.
