proposals that Section 307 of the Indian penal Code should be amended so as to enable a death sentence to be passed in the case of a convict under going a sentence of imprisonment for life under section 2 of the Frontier Murderous Outrages Regulation, 1901 and that pending the amendment of the Code, the sentences of transportation for life should be passed under the Regulation as far as possible instead of imprisonment for life, rejected.
